Forrest Galante is synonymous with nature conservation, wilderness survival and animal expertise. Growing up in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest harvested a love and deep connection with nature that set him on his path in life. Galante's deep involvement with nature continued when he moved back to California after political unrest in Zimbabwe forced the family from their safari operations.
Galante was the public's favorite participant on Discovery Channel's show 'Naked and Afraid' in December of 2013, where he spent 21 days in the jungles of Panama. He was considered the leader by the cast, and not only survived, but thrived. This was the public's introduction to the explorer Forrest Galante. He now hosts Animal Planet's top show 'Extinct or Alive,' where he utilizes his unique skill-set searching for evidence that animals once declared extinct may still be in the wild. Galante deems this the most detrimental television work he has ever done, because it pairs conservation with education and exploration with nature. It's his dedication to the wild parts of the world we live in that attracts us to this incredible person.
